Emily and EJ are the kind of people who you can’t help but smile around because of their warmth and kindness. We first met when I photographed EJ’s surprise proposal to Emily (on a boat!) in Belmont Harbor, in Chicago. It was so easy to see how head over heels they were for each other, and when they asked me to photograph their wedding I couldn’t have been more excited!

As I drove to Ewing Manor on their wedding day, sheets of rain were pounding against my windshield. But by the time I arrived, the rain had stopped in some sort of wedding day magic. This set the tone for the rest of the day to go off without a hitch! They said their I-do’s in Evelyn Chapel, drove off in a vintage car, mingled with their guests back at Ewing Manor, and laughed, cried, and danced their way through their reception.

Emily and EJ, you had an incredible wedding. It’s so clear how much you not only love each other, but are surrounded by so many who also love you fiercely. Thank you for inviting me into a part of your love story.
