Spring Portrait Session
This portrait session was mostly done in my living room with natural window light. I bought a large piece of cardboard and painted one side black and the other side white. I found a flowering lilac bush and made a floral crown. And I found an abandoned window pane that we used in the outdoor photos.
My “vision” was simply to create. Create, shoot, style, play, and brainstorm in a different way than I normally do. Make beautiful and unusual portraits. It’s something I want to practice more often — if anyone in Chicago wants to volunteer for weird portraits, give me a holler 😉
I must thank Lauren, who incredibly agreed to this shoot without any knowledge of what I’d ask of her — and was open to everything I suggested. YOU WERE AMAZING! I have so many favorites, but narrowed down to a small sampling for the blog post. Enjoy!
